The RDX blows the place to smithereens as Chand shuts his eyes and his world goes black! Framed and believed to be a terrorist, Chand realizes that all the evidence is against him! An uproar takes place in Gulnagar as the news of the death of their children and loved ones reach their ears. Aman Khan, taken in by the sight of the dead bodies also sees Chand as the perpetrator of this horror! However, it's only Shaheen and her love for Chand, who refuses to believe that he could kill the very people he cherished more than his life. Unable to control her grief, Shaheen flings herself off the terrace, the very place where she used to throw herself into Chand’s arms! But the only thing that remains wounded, is her heart! Time passes and a year later, Chand manages to escape from jail and encounters Raj (Nasir Khan), a happy-go-lucky hotel owner in Delhi and Jaggi (Johnny Lever), his wacky and wild assistant. Raj and Jaggi have become heroes after capturing an ‘escaped terrorist’. Raj realizes that Chand is not a killer, but a mere victim of circumstance! He promises to contact Shaheen, inform her that her love is still alive and that she yet resides in his every heartbeat! But the path of love is never easy! Gafoor Khan (Avtaar Gill), has asked for the hand of Shaheen for his son. The two families have shared a long relationship. In fact, the economy of Gulnagar is dependant on the dealings with Gafoor Khan. Yielding to her father’s pleas, Shaheen agrees to be the sacrificial lamb! As the ceremony is concluded and Shaheen weeps in her room, the phone rings! It is Raj who informs her about Chand being alive! Now the true strength, passion and determination of love takes over. Shaheen under the pretext of shopping for her trousseau, leaves Gulnagar with her Chacha, for Mumbai! She recruits her friend Rohini and her team consisting of dancers, make-up specialists and explosives, hatch a plan to spring her love out of jail! All these characters emotionally bond with her and refuse to take any money for the mission saying, "Everything is free in Love and War!" The stage is set. Shaheen and her team perform in the prison and manage to plant Chand’s dummy in his cell and blow it up, after rescuing him! The lovers are finally reunited! But yet another twist puts them into a fix! When Shaheen calls her father Aman Khan, he tells her that the wedding has been preponed and that she should get back immediately! Meanwhile, Insp. Sawant, who had caught Chand initially, realizes that the body in the cell is a dummy! He realizes that Chand has escaped! Shaukat hatches another plot with Abdul Jamil to smuggle more explosives in Shaheen’s ‘Baaraat’. As Chand and his team travel back to Gulnagar, they are aware that if they're discovered, it would mean instant death!! Chand finally comes face to face with Shaukat. But before they can apprehend Abdul Jamil, the only proof of Chand’s innocence, Chand is forced to kill Abdul Jamil. A furious Aman Khan is so angry that he decides to kill his own daughter for betraying his trust and collaborating with a ‘traitor’ – Chand ! But at the last minute the ‘Baaraat’ arrives! The film races to its climax as Chand is sentenced to death and Shaheen has no option but to wed! Even Raj, Rohini and the ‘team’ are sent back to Mumbai! Even though the fate of the lovers seem hopeless, this love story ends in never ending joy and bliss! Like the climax of all true love stories should be ... Shot in the unique locations of Khiva, Bysun, Tashkent (Uzbekistan), the film is the coming together of two media giants, Cinevista and Eagle Films. It boasts of a fresh, young appeal with some of brilliant music by the winning combination of Anand Raaj Anand and Dev Kholi. Yeh Mohabbat Hai, is directed by Umesh Mehra.
